Millennium Park Plaza
This urban sanctuary and popular noshing/shopping destination overlooking Lakewood Bay is Lake Oswego’s official downtown--home to the Saturday Farmers Market, Movies in the Park, and Sunday Moonlight Concerts. The park features a pergola, fireplace, reflecting pond, and paved plaza.
George Rogers Park
Nestled along the west bank of the Willamette River, in the nearby Old Town neighborhood, twenty-six-acre George Rogers Park is Lake Oswego's first community park. The site was originally home to Native American tribes. Much later it became the center of Lake Oswego's industrial iron industry. The Iron Furnace, remnants of which remain, is listed on the National Historic Register. It is one of the few reminders of Lake Oswego's industrial past.
Today, George Rogers Park contains athletic fields, tennis courts, a children's playground, picnic areas, riverfront access, walking trails, and large natural area. One of the best views of the Willamette River is near the furnace in the lower park.
