An Oregon icon awaits its next chapter. Set along the banks of the Sandy River on the Historic Columbia River Highway, Tad’s Chicken ’n Dumplins offers a rare opportunity to own a beloved piece of Pacific Northwest history. With roots dating to the late 1920s, this storied destination welcomed generations of locals and travelers for memorable meals, family celebrations, and evenings overlooking the water. Rich wood interiors, inviting dining rooms, and vintage details capture the warmth of a classic Northwest roadhouse. Expansive windows frame the river and surrounding trees, creating a setting that feels worlds away while remaining close to downtown Troutdale and the gateway to the Columbia River Gorge. The approximately 6,988 square foot building features multiple dining areas, two bars, a substantial kitchen, and a walk in cooler. For a restaurateur, the inspiration is already here: intimate dinners overlooking the water, lively gatherings, and a destination worth the drive. Revive the Tad’s tradition or introduce a fresh dining concept in a place where the atmosphere is every bit as memorable as the meal. The character and nostalgia that made Tad’s special are still here. Imagine the dining rooms filled with conversation again, glasses raised beside the river, and a new generation discovering a place others have loved for decades. For buyers with a more personal vision, the generous spaces and riverfront setting also invite exploration of a distinctive private residence, subject to zoning and required approvals.Own a piece of Oregon history and make its future your own. Prepare to fall in LOVE.
