Note that MAX light rail doesn’t reach much of Southwest’s interior, so most neighborhoods are car- and bus-oriented. For the outdoors, Tryon Creek State Natural Area, Marquam Nature Park, and the Council Crest trails are woven right into the neighborhoods, and Multnomah Village and Hillsdale supply village-scale shopping and farmers markets.
